"Be what you wish you were" - as I crown myself in my bathroom mirror

I haven't posted a blog update in a few months. I will commit to posting more regularly (once every 2 weeks - or bi-weekly as the high brows call it) starting in March.

I refrained from regular posts and updates because there seemed to be too many moving parts. Trying to capture them in a linear blog format was too much to concisely translate.

Quick Recap

September Moved to Seattle (Green Lake), found a part time job as a Swim Instructor.

October Casually dated a guy from CDA, maintained my Swim Instructor job, started as a Marketing Rep for HelloFresh, promptly quit within 48 hours (not what I was looking for), celebrated by 26th birthday with my roommates, who I affectionately refer to as the "Party Kittens." Experienced one final imploding meltdown (ugly crying, in bed until 3 p.m., doubting every decision I have ever made in life - you know the drill).

November Was offered, and took a job as an Office Assistant within the HR Department at a Legal Services Company called "Garden City Group." Love my Supervisor, Elaine. Moved in with my roommate "Alli" -- a small human who calls many things "cute," but is a badass - has the cool tattoo, the brushed steel sunglasses, studies psychology at Seattle University. Our apartment is small and houses two humans, a frantically excited dog named Rascal, and a moxy cat named Leo. Went home for Thanksgiving.

December Found my groove at work, made some work-friends, continued my rigorous fitness routine which I shamelessly prioritize over a social life. Took 5 days to visit my family for Christmas. Created drama within my immediate family because of unmet expectations. Drove back to Seattle. Celebrated New Year's eve with Alli at an Unmarked Lounge off the Olive Street Exit.

January Created my *2017 Goals, started counseling due to my tendency to create unnecessary conflict within my family, pondered writing an insightful blog on "Family Conflict," decided I needed to focus on getting emotionally healthy in order to enjoy the Family Vacation scheduled for the end of March 2017. Started babysitting for a family of three children, two of whom live with Type 1 diabetes. Learned how to manage children's diabetes. Quit part-time swim instructing.

February Enjoyed Valentine's Day by babysitting aforementioned children. My brother Gabriel proposed to his girlfriend Briana. Wedding date is scheduled for June 3rd. I am starting a book recommended and sent to me by Janine titled "Girl Waits With Gun." She typically has stellar book recommendations. I am also currently obsessed with Red Curry and Mango Mochi. Oh, I also scheduled Sibling Tattoo Weekend, where we all get our dead-brother tattoos together, except Avery, Lucas, and Gabriel... who are not getting tattoos for various reasons. Am house/dog -sitting for the month of February, which was great, and now I am lonely.

Post-Recap

This post might be a little dry, but I figure I need to get you all up to speed on the happenings before I release my thoughts into the wild. I might write on conflict within family. Possibly how to grocery shop, or why I believe in wearing school uniforms until you graduate high school. Feel free to message me if you have something you would like me to write about. Avery does this often, but I am waiting until my instinct grabs one and runs with it. Obviously, I need to be able to list things and be funny. Those two values are pretty much my criteria for blog posts.
